South Shore Drill Team’s younger performers will be headlining the 2011 World Children's Festival June 17-19 on the National Mall in Washington, DC.

As the largest international children’s festival, this event takes place every four years and offers performances on the “World Stage” against the backdrop of the U.S. Capitol and free workshops and other activities for children ages 8 to 12.

Representing Chicago, IL, South Shore Drill Team is the only group invited to perform five times during the three-day event. Our younger performers will be on stage, and we welcome your support as our young people once again serve as ambassadors for our City and Chicago’s Southside. Hats off to them as they take the World Stage for this global event!
