Bridges to the Future
BRIDGES TO THE FUTURE PROGRAM - this initiative funds 10-15 Alliance Partners in underserved communities in Chicago to increase the number of youth served. Program support a variety of youth services, including sports, after-school tutoring, mentoring, computer training, college tours, employment and job readiness. Health prevention/intervention has been a secondary service focus, including lead abatement, asthma, peer mental health counseling. In 2009, 1118 youth were served directly by these programs and another 1124 were impacted indirectly.
Youth / community serving grassroots organizations in targeted communities in Chicago.
Services are subsidized by public funders, such as ISBE and DCEO, with no cost to participants.
