Our commitment
Chicago Area Project aims to make its website usable by people with disabilities and visitors using different devices and assistive technologies. Accessibility is an ongoing part of improving the website.
Ways to navigate
The site includes a skip-to-content link and page headings. Community directory links provide another way to reach profiles without relying on the map. Use browser zoom to enlarge text. Tab and Shift+Tab move between interactive controls; Enter activates a focused link.
Standards and current status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA provide a reference for improvements. A complete independent accessibility audit has not been established for this website, so CAP is not making a claim of full WCAG conformance.
Documents and external services
Linked documents, historical materials and external services may present accessibility barriers. Third-party resource boards and donation services are maintained by their providers. Contact CAP for help obtaining information or finding another way to connect if a document or service is difficult to use.
Report a barrier or request help

Describe the page or document, the task you were trying to complete and your preferred way to receive assistance. Sharing your browser or assistive technology is optional. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis or medical information to request help.
Ongoing improvements
Feedback helps identify barriers and prioritize repairs. CAP will consider requests for assistance and practical alternatives based on the information or service needed.
