Contact forms collect your name, email address, interest and message, plus any optional phone number, organization and community you provide. Newsletter signup collects your email address. Please do not submit confidential participant records or sensitive personal information through public forms.
Newsletter records
Newsletter signup records include the email address, subscription status, signup source and dates used to administer the subscription. You can browse public information without signing up.
How information is used
CAP uses inquiries to respond and connect visitors with programs, services and partnerships. Newsletter email addresses are used for CAP updates. To request removal from newsletter communications, email info@chicagoareaproject.org.
Service providers and technical information
Contact messages are delivered through SMTP2GO. Newsletter subscriptions are stored in the website database. Hosting and email providers process information needed to operate these services. Form handlers temporarily use network addresses to limit repeated submissions. Hosting providers may retain technical access and security logs.
External services and cookies
Donations linked from this website are handled by PayPal. External resource boards and other linked services have their own privacy policies and may use cookies. The public website source does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Separate staff and participant applications may use sign-in cookies and have additional information practices.
Requests and retention
Email info@chicagoareaproject.org to ask about information you submitted or request a correction, deletion or newsletter removal. Identify the form involved without sending sensitive details. Records may need to be retained for program administration or applicable obligations; this notice does not specify a fixed deletion period.
Scope and updates
This notice covers the public informational website and its contact and newsletter forms. It does not replace participant notices, registration consents or policies for separate applications. Updates will appear on this page.
Young people and families
CAP serves young people and families. General website forms are intended for inquiries rather than confidential youth intake. Children under 13 should have a parent or guardian contact CAP on their behalf. If you believe a child has supplied personal information through a public form, contact CAP so the submission can be reviewed.
Security
No website or email service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid including Social Security numbers, payment credentials, medical records or private details about another person in general messages. Contact CAP to discuss an appropriate way to provide information needed for a program.
